Requirement Engineering

Requirement management as the essential

Before starting the project, important decisions have to be made. Our requirement management starts by defining the requirements for the system, device or software in question. Even in agile projects, this forms the base of success.

Criteria for the definition of requirements:

  • Completeness
  • Correctness
  • Non-ambiguity
  • Self-consistency
  • Consistency
  • Traceability
  • Testability

If all requirements are fulfilled, the achieved “Good Requirement” means the project can start from a sound basis.

In medium-sized projects, follow-up activities and documentation processes derived from the defined requirements can prove to be very complex fast. Therefore, Mechatronic systematically works with model-based development tools. For us, database documentation from the very start is a given.

What this means: defining clear requirements for project success.
